connections
Connecting the AIDA HD-NDI-200 camera to other devices is designed to be flexible, whether you’re connecting over a network or directly to a display or audio setup.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to connect the camera effectively.
1. Power and initial setup

Power options:
The HD-NDI-200 supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), which allows you to connect a single Ethernet cable to the RJ-45 port for both power and data transfer, simplifying your setup.
Alternatively, you can use the DC 12V power adapter for standalone power.

Secure connections:
Before powering on, ensure all cables, including Ethernet or HDMI, are securely connected.

2. Network configuration (NDI®|HX2 and IP streaming)

Ethernet connection:
Connect the camera to your network using the RJ-45 port.
This provides network access for control, video, and audio streaming via NDI®|HX2 protocol.

Automatic discovery:
The HD-NDI-200 is autodiscoverable, allowing compatible software (like OBS Studio or NewTek’s NDI Tools) to detect the camera instantly on the network.

Web interface access:
Open a web browser and enter the camera’s default IP address (192.168.1.188). Log in using the default credentials (admin for both username and password).
From the web interface, you can adjust video, audio, and network settings.

3. HDMI connection for direct display

HDMI output:
Use an HDMI cable to connect the camera directly to monitors, switchers, or recorders.
This is ideal for setups where a direct visual feed is needed without going through a network.

4. Audio integration

Audio input:
The camera features a 3.5mm TRS stereo audio input on the rear panel.
This port can connect external audio sources, which will be embedded in the NDI® stream, allowing synced audio and video over a single network feed.

5. Control options (RS485 and VISCA Over IP)

RS485 connection:
For serial control, connect the breakout cable to your RS485 control interface, which is compatible with VISCA commands.

VISCA over IP:
Alternatively, control the camera over IP by connecting it to the network and using VISCA over IP commands through compatible software.
Set the control software to the default IP and port (52381) for command execution.

6. Direct streaming (RTMP to social media)

RTMP streaming:
Through the web interface, set up RTMP streaming by inputting your RTMP URL and stream key for platforms like YouTube or Facebook. This allows live streaming directly from the camera without additional encoding software.
