1.  Ethernet connector

  • Function: Connects the mixing console to a network for control and communication purposes.

  • Connection steps:

    1. Plug one end of an Ethernet cable into the console’s Ethernet port.

    2. Connect the other end to a network switch or router.

    3. Ensure that the network settings on the console are configured correctly (IP address, subnet mask, etc.).

2.  CRM (Control Room Monitor) and Studio Phone jacks outputs

  • Function: Outputs audio to the control room and studio monitors or headphones.

  • Connection Steps:

    1. Connect the CRM output to the control room speakers or headphones using balanced TRS (¼ inch) cables.

    2. Connect the Studio Phone jacks outputs to the studio monitors or headphones.

3.  USB input

  • Function: For future use.

 

​

4.  Chinch connector CRM and Ext. In (Left/Right)

  • Function: RCA connectors for external audio sources (e.g., CD players) or control room monitoring.

  • Connection steps:

    1. Connect the left and right RCA cables from the external audio source to the “Ext. In” RCA connectors on the console.

    2. For CRM, connect the RCA cables to the appropriate CRM connectors.

    3. Select the corresponding input on the console to route the external audio to the desired output.

5.  Studio / CRM / Master insert jack

  • Function: Allows external processing equipment (like compressors or equalizers) to be inserted into the signal path for the studio, CRM, or master output.

  • Connection steps:

    1. Connect a TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) insert cable to the insert jack.

    2. The other end of the cable splits into two plugs: one for the input and one for the output of the external processing device.

    3. Ensure correct connections: "Send" to the input of the external processor, and "Return" to the output of the external processor.

6.  Master digital AES / Master right / Master left XLR connectors

  • Function: Provides professional-grade balanced audio output for the master mix.

  • Connection steps:

    1. Connect the Master Digital AES output to a digital recording device or digital input on a sound system.

    2. Connect the Master Left and Master Right XLR outputs to the left and right main speakers or amplifiers.

    3. Use high-quality XLR cables for optimal sound quality.

7.  RJ45 connectors for CRM, Studio / CRM, Studio, Phones and Cue / Sub / Aux and Master

  • Function: Multi-purpose connectors for digital audio and control signals, often used for connecting consoles to remote panels, interfaces, or networked audio systems.

  • Connection steps:

    1. Connect a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port labeled according to the desired function (e.g., CRM, Studio, Phones).

    2. Connect the other end to the corresponding device or network interface.

    3. Configure the network or interface settings as required to ensure proper communication.

Module settings:

AURON: metering:

Below you can see the metering display that will be on screen most of the time when you are working on the AURON.
 

It shows the outputs of Main Master, Sub output and on 4 smaller meters CRM / STUDIO / AUX / PFL(CUE)
A clock runs in the centre of this screen and there are also buttons for Silence detection, ON-AIR and VoIP indicators.

 

To enter the configuration display, you only need to touch the “     CONFIGURE AURON ” button on your touchscreen.
