ELECTRICAL WIRING
Once you've assembled the system, it's time to prepare the power supply for the ON AIR light:

-
Prepare the power supply: Cut off the plug from the standard adapter provided in the package.
-
Check wiring: If you've stripped the wires, ensure they can reach the nearest mains wall outlet with the standard cable.
-
Safety first: Make sure to do this safely, avoiding any potential shorts.
-
Secure wiring: Neatly fix the low-voltage DC cable to the wall with cable ties. Do NOT connect the DC power adapter to the main voltage yet.
internal wiring
Inside the ON AIR warning light frame, you'll find a white 4-segment terminal block. Here's how it works:

-
Wiring configuration:
-
On the right-hand side row, you'll find the wiring already connected from the LED strip to the barrier strip, along with a shorting wire.
-
Pin-1: Plus connection of the LED strip
-
Pin-4: Minus connection of the LED strip
-
Pin-2 and Pin-3 are shorted by a wire.
-

Installation steps:

-
Connect power supply:
-
Feed the power supply cable through the back hole of the unit.
-
Connect the plus pole of the 12-volt DC power supply to Pin-1 (top pin).
-
Connect the minus pole of the 12-volt DC power supply to Pin-2.
-
-
Connect control wires:
-
Feed the control wires through the back wall of the unit.
-
Connect one side of the control wire to Pin-3.
-
Connect the other wire to Pin-4, where "control" is indicated.
-
-
Connect to mixer:
-
Connect the other end of the control cable to the tip and ring of a stereo jack if you own an Airmate/Airence or Airlab-DT.
-
For AXUM/AXITE, refer to their manuals for GPO connections.
-

Note:
-
The right side row of the terminal block has already been wired for you.
-
To connect 2x ON-AIR warning lights to one reed relay in the mixer, simply connect the control wires going to the mixer in series with each other, ensuring the correct configuration.
power adapter
The unit is powered by a 12-volt DC, 1 Amp external power supply.

-
Voltage: 12 volts DC
-
Current: 1 Amp
No complicated high voltage AC switching with external relays, etc., making the setup simple and reliable.
display assembly
Hang the ON-AIR warning sign (without diffuser) where you have planned it.
-
Neat Wiring: Prepare all wiring neatly around it and test the unit.
Once tested:
-
Position diffuser:
-
If the unit works fine, remove the protection paper from the double-sided tape on the support rails inside the frame.
-
Carefully position the diffuser panel inside the frame so that the text can be read clearly.
-
-
Disassembly:
-
If you need to disassemble the unit for any reason, use a soft-ended piece of pipe.
-
Stick it from the backside of the frame through the keyholes and gently push out the diffuser panel.
